Will I be paid?
Yes, all student crew will be paid a flat rate of $250 per day, regardless of their position.
Do I have to be a Canadian citizen / resident to work on these projects?
Yes.
Do I have to be a Windsor local to apply?
No, any current or recent graduate is eligible to apply as long as they meet the criteria above, but all four films will be shooting in Windsor ON, Canada.
Will housing be provided in Windsor?
No, students are responsible for finding their own housing
Will there be mentors on set?
Yes. There will be industry veterans of both Hollywood and the Canadian film industry acting as mentors in various departments. Learn about our mentors here !
Is there opportunity to work in different departments?
Absolutely. If you are hired in one role for a film, you can apply for a different department on the next one.
Is there an opportunity to work on more than one of the films this summer?
Yes! You can work on all four if you like.
If I am hired, am I allowed to post videos on social media about my work?
Yes! Buzzflix flips the traditional film production social media rules on their head. Rather than restricting online activity, all participants are encouraged to document and share their experience across personal social channels, linking back to Buzzflix’s YouTube and social platforms.
Will Buzzflix be hiring post-production roles?
Yes, there will be opportunities in post-production for all four films.
